Jumping around and piecing it together, it looks like the steps are roughly: I managed to find out what version of the software I have (though nothing in the post makes any use of that info that I can see). I found this post, but it's a bit confusing to me, and of course no longer open for comments. But I would prefer to do this by updating the firmware on the existing board, rather than ripping out the guts and replacing it with something based on an RPi. It would then be the perfect portrait-mode bartop for me. I'd love to replace those two with their better versions (Pac-Man and Dig-Dug), and also add Donkey Kong and Frogger. Pac-Man and Galaga, of course), are awesome, while the other two (Pac-Man Plus and Dig-Dug 2) are pretty much a waste.
